The bill (Reg. No.7278), submitted by People´s Deputy of Ukraine S. Husarov, amends clause 37 of the Fundamentals of Ukrainian Legislation on Public Health, and clause 10 of the Law "On the Police." Namely, it establishes the following: medical personnel are obliged to provide emergency aid to the alcohol or drug-impaired persons or persons in other life-threatening and dangerous to health conditions. The bill envisages re-equipment of available rooms in hospitals into the diagnostic-detoxification and rehabilitation rooms. Furthermore, the bill obliges the police to provide transportation of alcohol or drug-impaired persons or persons in other life-threatening and dangerous to health conditions to the nearest medical and preventive treatment institution.
